How buying works

A calm route from first outline to handover.

Start with one practical project, agree the boundaries before work begins, then decide together whether to stop, refine or continue.

The journey

Six simple steps, with human review built in.

  1. Step 1

    Start with a broad outline.

Share one recurring task or problem in plain, non-confidential terms.

  2. Step 2

    Discuss fit and boundaries.

We consider approved sources, data sensitivity, review points and who remains responsible.

  3. Step 3

    Agree the practical project.

Cost, timing, scope, data handling and fit are agreed before work begins.

  4. Step 4

Build, map or improve the agreed item.

The work stays focused on the agreed task, page, workflow, information journey, prototype or build.

  5. Step 5

    Review and hand over.

We look at the work together and leave clear notes about how it should and should not be used.

  6. Step 6

    Stop, refine or continue.

We decide together whether the work is complete, needs a small refinement or points to a separate next project.

Important boundaries

  • No automatic high-impact decisions are introduced.
  • No compliance, legal, medical or regulatory approval is implied.
  • No time-saving, productivity, revenue or other outcome is guaranteed.
  • People retain judgement, approval and accountability.
  • Additional work or ongoing support is not included unless agreed separately.
